KAKINADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stopped his convoy on seeing a farmer holding a placard demanding justice, later identified as Kommuri Gangadhar of Durgada village in Gollaprolu mandal of East Godavari district.Earlier, when Gangadhar tried to obstruct the CM’s convoy in an effort to meet Chandrababu Naidu, police immediately moved him away. On seeing this, the Chief Minister ordered his driver to stop and asked security personnel to bring the farmer to him. Gangadhar informed the CM that he had 50 cents of land and his paternal uncle Kommuri Arjunudu 81 cents of land in inheritance. But during the YSRC regime, when officials made a resurvey, he lost 15 cents of land and Arjunudu 69 cents of land. Though they have submitted repeated representations to officials, no one has done justice to them. Naidu accepted Gangadhar’s representation and assured to do justice. Several others also submitted representations to Chandrababu Naidu in this regard. Many farmers of Godavari districts have the same complaint. They have been roaming around officials seeking their land in their name.
