Vijayawada:The Avishkarana Andhra, launched by the Andhra Pradesh government, bagged the Guinness Book of World Records in recognition of a major feat – wherein the highest number of 1.67 lakh industrialists recorded their names online in a span of 24 hours.Guinness World Record representatives presented a certificate to chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu during the inauguration of the Rata Tata Innovation Hubs programme at Mangalagiri on Wednesday.Later, secretary to ITE, K Bhaskar, administered the Avishkarana Andhra pledge to those who attended the programme to realise the dream of One Family-One Entrepreneur.The programme, spearheaded by the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society, saw leaders and participants pledge to advance the ‘Innovate Andhra’ mission, aiming to nurture an entrepreneur in every household.Avishkarana Andhra, backed by partnerships with NASSCOM and Idealabs FutureTech Ventures, provided a platform for entrepreneurs to access mentorship, funding and incubation opportunities. The initiative aligns with the state’s broader goal of fostering innovation in sectors like AI, IoT and blockchain.Over 10,000 startups are targeted for support under this framework, building on the Make in AP initiative.
