Hyderabad: A festive Ganesh procession in Bandlagud a took a tragic turn when a Ganesh idol being carried by devotees accidentally came into contact with a live electrical wire, resulting in several participants sustaining electric shock injuries. The incident occurred on Bandlaguda Road, prompting an immediate response from local authorities. Police from the Bandlaguda station arrived swiftly at the scene and have since launched an investigation into the mishap. The injured individuals were quickly transported to nearby private hospitals for medical attention. Two of the victims, currently receiving treatment at Owaisi Hospital, are reported to be in critical condition. A case has been registered, and further investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
