Megastar Chiranjeevi, who recently assured stakeholders that he would help resolve the ongoing deadlock between Telugu film producers and the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation, is expected to meet mid-range producers at his residence today. “He is interacting with small and mid-budget producers who make content-driven films, listening to their concerns about the proposed wage hike,” a source revealed. The Telugu film industry has been crippled by the workers’ union strike, now entering its second week. Despite multiple rounds of negotiations, talks have failed, halting productions and creating ripples of concern across the fraternity. In a decisive move, Chiranjeevi is reportedly planning separate discussions with producers and union leaders to work towards a resolution. Trusted by both sides, he is seen as the one figure capable of restoring balance. “Federation members haven’t yet received a call from Chiranjeevi garu, but we are hopeful. Thousands of workers are struggling as their daily earnings are at stake, and we believe he can help find an amicable solution,” said director Veera Shankar, a member of the Federation’s Coordination Committee. Underscoring his commitment, Chiranjeevi has even paused the shoot of his upcoming film with director Anil Ravipudi. Sources claim he has already drafted a practical proposal aimed at addressing both the workers’ demands and the industry’s financial constraints.
