AP Has Received Investments of Rs.11K Crore in Tourism Sector: Durgesh

Kakinada: State Tourism minister Kandula Durgesh said that the NDA alliance government has already succeeded in attracting investments worth ₹11,000 crore in the tourism sector out of its goal of ₹25,000 crore during the coming five years.Addressing a gathering after hoisting the National Flag on the Independence Day at Rajamahendravaram on Friday, Durgesh pointed out that the state government has launched the Akhanda Godavari project at a cost of ₹94.44 crore to make Rajamahendravaram a popular tourist centre. “As a part of it, Havelock bridge will turn into a tourist attraction, Pushkara Ghat will be developed, facilities will be improved at the Kota Sattemma Temple in Nidadavole, an Excellence Centre for Plants will be established at Kadiyam to popularise its nurseries,” the minister stated. He felicitated the family members of freedom fighters on the occasion. Those present included district collector P. Prashanthi and SP D. Narasimha Kishore. At Eluru, Information minister K. Pardha Saradhi unfurled the National Flag. He said the Tammileru Irrigation project is being modernised at a cost of ₹16.8 crores. He pointed out that a check dam-cum-double lane bridge has been constructed on Tammileru River near Balive village at a cost of ₹18.30 crores, while Ravula Cheruvu will be developed at a cost of ₹94 lakh at Ramannagudem village in Dwaraka Tirumala mandal. Those present at the function included Eluru district collector K. Vetri Selvi and SP K. Pratha Shiva Kishore. Hoisting the national flag at Konaseema district, Labour minister Vasamsetti Subhash said that the alliance government is endeavouring to ensure that there are zero accidents in the factories. Those present included district collector R. Mahesh Kumar and SP B. Krishna Rao. In West Godavari district, Irrigation minister Nimmala Ramanaidu hoisted the Tricolour at a function attended by district collector C. Nagarani and SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi.
