Sreeleela’s much-awaited Bollywood debut opposite Kartik Aaryan is set for a December 25 release, going head-to-head with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s espionage thriller Alpha. The yet-untitled romance, directed by Anurag Basu, marks Kartik’s first collaboration with the filmmaker. The makers are aiming to cash in on the Christmas weekend, with current trends favouring melodramatic love stories. “It’s a classic tale of love, loss and longing, the kind audiences have connected with in Saiyaara,” says a source.“All eyes are on Sreeleela. She’s not restricting herself to one industry. Apart from Hindi, she’s also making her Tamil debut in Parasakthi, opposite Sivakarthikeyan.” the source adds.
