Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Tuesday directed the state government to furnish a detailed report on the proposed shifting of the Osmania General Hospital (OGH) to Goshamahal stadium. A division bench of Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin was hearing a petition filed by local resident G. Ramu.The petitioner submitted that the proposed site was meant for a playground and could not be used for other purposes. His counsel argued that the transfer of the stadium land was illegal and the government had not considered the representations regarding this. He sought setting aside of GO 45, issued by the government to transfer the land to the medical and health department.Advocate-General A. Sudarshan Reddy, representing the state, informed the court that the process of transfer had been completed and a government school situated in the area was relocated. He sought a week to file a detailed counter affidavit. Accepting the request, the bench adjourned the hearing to September 26.
