Sacked Karnataka Minister Alleges Conspiracy Against Him

Bengaluru: Former minister K.N. Rajanna on Monday alleged a huge ‘conspiracy’ hatched against by his political rivals which led to his sacking as a minister but stated to abide by the decision of the high command. Though he did not reveal conspirators against him, Rajanna stated he will disclose who were behind the conspiracy and who met whom among others will be revealed at an appropriate time.Rajana told reporters he would meet Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Karnataka party incharge K.C. Venugopal in New Delhi soon and will try to clarify to them over his statements. He termed the leaders-Rahul Gandhi and K.V. Venugopal has been “misled” over his statements. “I will try to remove misconceptions in their minds,” said Rajanna and the sacked minister assured to work in the party under the directions of Rahul Gandhi and support his fight against vote theft. Meanwhile, president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar claimed he does not have any information on the grounds that led to sacking of Rajanna as a minister. He, however, said “Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader has full control over MLAs and Ministers.” “It is a party’s decision,” he said and stated he was pained over sacking of Rajanna. However, he said, “MLAs and Ministers don’t come his purview. As a party chief, we only take actions such as serving sow case notices on disciplinary grounds.”
