Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police advised the people to follow weather forecast updates and asked them to plan their travel accordingly. “Drive safe and careful in low lying areas. Follow traffic rules and avoid violations,” the police said after posting a tweet related to weather forecast for 24 hours for August 10 along with time and impact. “Till 2 pm, mainly dry weather is expected and from 2 pm to 8 pm -scattered heavy thunderstorms are expected in Cyberabad. Forty to 60 per cent of areas in Cyberabad will have intense thunderstorm activities during this period. From 8 pm to 8 am, light rains expected. Locations will be informed two hours before start of thunderstorm,” the police said in the tweet. On its part, the GHMC has also informed the public, in a tweet, “It would be dry morning till 12 noon to 1 pm and from 1 pm to 9 pm. “Moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms with some areas to register 30–50 mm rainfall. Intense storms likely to occur this afternoon and evening — Stay Alert! Call: GHMC Helpline: 040-21111111 / 100.”
