Hyderabad: Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy of the Telangana High Court has granted an interim stay on a penalty order issued by the Registrar of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) against Chalmeda Anand Rao Institute of Medical Sciences, Bommakal, Karimnagar.The university had imposed a Rs.20-lakh fine citing a lack of infrastructure facilities. The order came in response to a writ petition filed by the institute’s principal, Syed Ali Aasim, challenging the Registrar’s communication. The email, sent at 3.30 pm on July 30, directed payment of the penalty within seven days. The case has been adjourned to September 3.
