HYDERABAD: BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao criticised the Congress government for neglecting progress in villages by weakening the panchayati raj system, and condemned the previous BRS government for undermining local bodies. He asserted that true rural development and prosperity could only be achieved under BJP’s governance.

Addressing a gathering during the ongoing ‘Ghar Ghar BJP’ campaign at Sriramnagar, in Moinabad mandal under Chevella Assembly segment, Ramchander Rao emphasised the need to strengthen rural governance and development through BJP leadership.
Ramchander Rao called upon the people to vote BJP candidates in the upcoming local body elections to bring transformative change to the state and strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He specifically urged concentrated efforts to enable BJP to secure Zilla Parishad seats in Rangareddy and Vikarabad districts.
“The progress we see today is a testament to BJP’s dedication to rural India,” Rao stated. “For Telangana’s future and the well-being of its citizens, BJP must lead the way,” he said.
The ‘Ghar Ghar BJP’ programme, according to Ramchander Rao, served as a grassroots movement to reach every household with awareness about these developmental strides and welfare schemes executed under Modi’s leadership.
Highlighting the vision of Prime Minister Modi, Ramchander Rao listed the welfare schemes aimed at empowering rural communities — ranging from free rice, housing, sanitation, and gas connections to substantial healthcare coverage worth Rs 5 lakh each.
Programmes such as financial aid to farmers via the Kisan Samman Nidhi, loans to women’s savings groups, youth self-employment initiatives, and extensive infrastructure projects including roads, street lighting, and environmental efforts under Haritha Haram, were all credited to the central government’s commitment to rural upliftment.
