Authorities in the United States have launched an urgent search for four senior citizens of Indian origin who went missing earlier this week during a road trip from Buffalo, New York, to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.The missing individuals, Asha Divan, Kishore Divan, Shailesh Divan, and Gita Divan, all in their 80’s were last seen on Tuesday, July 29, at a Burger King on Peach Street in Erie, Pennsylvania.Surveillance footage captured two members of the group, a man and a woman, entering the restaurant and making what has since been confirmed as their last known credit card transaction, according to WTOV News9.The family was traveling in a light-green 2009 Toyota Camry, registered in New York with license plate number EKW2611. Their itinerary included a visit to a temple in Pittsburgh, after which they had planned to check into Prabhupada’s Palace Lodge Hotel in Moundsville, West Virginia.They have not been seen or heard from since July 31, said Marshall County Sheriff Mike Dougherty, who is overseeing the investigation.“We have a few leads, which we and surrounding law enforcement agencies are actively pursuing, but we have not yet located the missing persons,” Dougherty told WTOV News9.Search operations are being escalated, with helicopters, ground teams, and additional resources set to join the effort. Authorities are focusing on areas along the group’s travel route, including forested and mountainous regions near the West Virginia border.The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department has urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in locating the missing individuals. Anyone who may have seen the family or their vehicle is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office immediately.
