VIJAYAWADA: Actor and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has called for setting up robust film infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh, similar to Hyderabad, to strengthen the Telugu film industry within the state.During an informal interaction with media on his film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Pawan said more film training institutes should be established to groom talent in different areas of filmmaking. When asked whether he preferred politics or cinema, he said he would prioritise politics and take up films during his free time. He explained that he usually avoided promoting his films, but the delay in production—caused by Covid waves and obstacles from the former YSR Congress regime—pushed him to step in. He added that he directed the last portion of the film himself, as it was personally significant to him.
