Kakinada: The National Women’s Commission (NWC) has taken suo moto action regarding the murder of a woman in B. Savaram village, Razole mandal, in Konaseema district. Shaik Shammi (22) stabbed his live-in-relationship partner, Voleti Pushpa (22), to death two days back. He is exerting pressure on her to earn money through prostitution. But she rejected it and quarrelled with him. Expressing anger over it, he stabbed her to death. Her mother and also her brother were also injured by Shammi’s stabbing. Now, the National Women’s Commission instructed the investigation officer of the case to submit a report on the incident within three days, and the commissioner assured the family members of Pushpa that they would help them.
