Koppal: Dispelling that there was any rift with senior BJP leader B. Sriramulu, mining baron and Gangavathi MLA Gali Janardhan Reddy, out on bail in the Obulapuram mining scam case, affirmed that all was well between them.“Sriramulu and I have been friends since childhood. If we ever have a dispute, it is like the clash between Krishna and Arjuna. Difficult times come to everyone, but those who try to take advantage of that are foolish. We will never be separated,” he said while addressing a party programme at Gangavathi, on Sunday. He was disqualified as MLA following his seven-year jail sentence in the mining scam case but his membership was restituted after he secured suspension of the sentence from the Telangana High Court. Reddy said he and Sriramulu would continue to work together, travel across the state, and strengthen the party.“Even if there is any misunderstanding between us, it is only momentary. There are some people trying to exploit those moments of silence between us for their own gain, but they are fools. We are always one,” he declared.Echoing Reddy’s remarks, Sriramulu said, “We have come together to put an end to the differences among BJP leaders. Now, we will work to unite all leaders across the state. There are no disputes between us.”Once hailed as the formidable duo behind the BJP’s rise in Ballari and the surrounding region, the bond between Janardhan Reddy and Sriramulu had reportedly frayed over the years due to various reasons. Just a few months ago, their once-united front appeared to be on the verge of a split.
