Adilabad: Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju alleged that leaders from the BJP and BRS are deliberately spreading false rumours linking the Vedma Bojju Foundation to a job fraud involving a digital microfinance company, in an attempt to gain political mileage ahead of the upcoming local body elections.Strongly condemning the allegations, Bojju said he intends to issue legal notices to those maligning his charitable organisation. He claimed that the BJP and BRS leaders are unable to tolerate his rising popularity and political growth, and are resorting to smear campaigns. Speaking to the media, the MLA asserted that some BJP and BRS leaders are deliberately targeting him, especially in the context of the recently exposed job scam in Adilabad district. He questioned why only he is being singled out when senior leaders from both parties, along with civil society members and government officials, had also interacted with individuals involved in the job scam and participated in inaugurating branches of the digital microfinance company, which promised jobs to unemployed youth in exchange for money.
