Hyderabad:A 35-year-old bike mechanic died in a road accident after a JCB rammed into his two-wheeler at RCI Road in Balapur on Wednesday.SI Sudhakar said, “The victim is Shaik Khaleel Pasha, a resident of Bismillah Colony was on his way home for lunch from Shivaji Chowk to Mallapur when the incident occurred. A JCB hit the bike from behind which caused him to fall in which he sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot.”Pasha who recently started his own mechanic shop, is survived by his wife and three children.Balapur police registered a case under BNS 106 stating causing death by negligenc enad is on the lookout for the accused driver.The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital for postmortem examination. Police are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to gather leads on the JCB’s registration number and route.Case Against 2 for Assaulting WorkerHyderabad: KPHB police registered a case against two unknown assailants for allegedly assaulting a 29-year-old housekeeping worker near Phase 5, KPHB Colony in the early hours of Wednesday.Investigating offier Mounika said Ratnakar along with his brother Surjya Kantha Si, and a friend, Kameshwar Raj, were heading home around 2 am when two men stopped and questioned them. They then abused them and hit them with sticks. While Surjya and Kameshwar managed to escape, Ratnakar was caught and beaten severely.Further investigation into the incident is underway.
