Anantapur:In a tragic incident, three youths drowned in the Tungabhadra river at Mantralayam pilgrimage centre in Kurnool district on Saturday.Despite warnings issued by the local police and temple authorities due to heavy inflows from the Tungabhadra dam over the past few days, the trio ventured into the river for a swim and holy bath.The deceased—Ajith (19), Pramod (20), and Sachin (20)—reportedly hailed from Karnataka and had visited Mantralayam to have darshan of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy Brindavan.Mantralayam police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
