AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi sharply criticised Pakistan Army Chief Gen. Asim Munir for presenting a fake photo of a military operation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Speaking to the Indian diaspora in Kuwait, alongside BJP MP Baijayant Panda, Owaisi mocked Pakistan’s “desperate PR tactics” and accused Islamabad of supporting terror networks through illicit funding.“Yesterday, the Pakistani Army Chief gave a photo to the PM. They want to rival India, but the image was from a 2019 Chinese military drill. As I said, ‘nakal karne ke liye bhi akal chahiye’ (even to copy, you need brains), and they lack that,” Owaisi said, prompting laughter. The image, by Chinese photographer Huang Hai, showed PHL-03 rocket launchers in a Chinese exercise, falsely claimed by Pakistan as evidence of a strike against India. The claim was debunked by analysts and online sleuths. India, however, shared verified operation visuals.Owaisi urged the international community to return Pakistan to the FATF grey list, warning that the recent $2 billion IMF bailout could fund military and terror activities. “Pakistan has a history of laundering money via hawala networks, especially in the Middle East,” he said. His comments follow Operation Sindoor, an Indian counter-terror strike exposing Pakistan’s proxy war tactics. Owaisi’s rebuke intensifies the diplomatic tension.“Don’t waste a pinch of salt on Pakistan’s claims,” he concluded, highlighting their credibility crisis.
