Karimnagar: The three-day celebrations of Pedda Hanuman Jayanti were concluded with religious pomp on Thursday with large number of devotees and their family members thronged the famed Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple at Kondagattu in Muthyampet village of Mallial mandal in Jagtial district on Thursday.The devotees who took up Deeksha visited the shrine on padayatra from various regions and fulfilled their vows at Kalyanakatta before having darshan of Lord Hanuman.Continuing the tradition, Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam presented silk clothes brought from the Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple of Bhadrachalam to the presiding deity.The temple priests performed special prayers beginning with Homam followed by Panchamrita Abhishekam, Sahasra Nagavalli Archana, Tulasi puja, Poornahuti, Snapana Thirumanjanam and Ooyala Seva. In the evening, the priests performed Sahasra Deepalankarana, concluding the celebrations with Garuda Seva along with other ceremonial offerings to the deity.The temple authorities have made elaborate arrangements for over three lakh devotees visited the temple from May 20 to 22. The temple was bedecked with fairy lights and colours. Temporary shelters, sanitation by deploying 381 staff, ambulance services, water supply were set up for devotees. A pathway to the temple was carpeted for padayatris. Around four lakh laddu prasadam packets have been prepared with seven counters keeping in view of heavy rush.Water stations and medical camps are set up at selected areas and also parking areas to avoid traffic problems. The TGSRTC operated three bus services from the Bojja Pothanna Temple to the Y-junction. All paid services (Arjitha Sevas) have been suspended for three days at the temple in view of Jayanti.Under the supervision of SP Ashok Kumar, tight police security arrangements were made with 1,000 personnel along with 64 CCTV cameras for safe celebrations.
