BJP To Hold Tiranga Yatra Today

Hyderabad:The Telangana BJP will take out a Tiranga Yatra here on Saturday, from the Dr B.R. Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund till the Swami Vivekananda statue. The party has called upon women’s groups, youth associations, students and members of the public to participate in large numbers to express solidarity with the armed forces. The rally is being organised in honour of the Indian Army’s swift strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, carried out within 23 minutes under Operation Sindoor.Union minister for coal and mines G. Kishan Reddy told media persons that he would participate in the yatra in his personal capacity as a citizen and as the local MP. He said several eminent personalities from different walks of life, including former defence personnel, bureaucrats, artists and public figures, had been invited to participate in the event, which would be marked by patriotic fervour.Referring to the recent attack on tourists at Pahalgam in Kashmir, Kishan Reddy said India had retaliated by destroying terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and killing over 100 terrorists. He claimed that the Indian forces had also targeted military bases inside Pakistan, causing irreparable damage, forcing the neighbouring country into submission. He said the yatra was being organised as a proud tribute to the valour of the armed forces and as an expression of solidarity with them. The Central government, he said, had already made it clear that Operation Sindoor would continue until all terror camps across the border were completely dismantled.Meanwhile, BJP state vice president N.V.S.S. Prabhakar met South Central Railway general manager Arun Kumar Jain and urged him to improve MMTS services in view of the hike in Metro rail fares. He also appealed for bridge extension works at Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), better amenities at Cherlapally railway station and modernisation of Moula Ali station to enhance footfall at MMTS stations.
