Industrial Parks To Be Set Up On Vacant Government Lands: Minister

Kakinada:Andhra Pradesh would set up industrial parks in vacant government lands, so as to encourage more people to set up units and become entrepreneurs.This was stated by energy minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar on Tuesday. He along with revenue minister Anagani Satya Prasad and Peddapuram MLA Nimmakayala China Rajappa inaugurated the MSME park at Peddapuram, as also the mandal revenue office and the women and child welfare office at Samalkot.Ravi Kumar said the government would give priority to aspiring entrepreneurs to set up industrial units and develop 175 MSME parks across the state. He alleged that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as chief minister encroached and grabbed government lands. “Our government would allocate such lands to those who wish to set up industrial units.”He said AP was the only state to spend Rs 30,000 crore for pensions. “ We repaired roads at a cost of Rs 1400 crore.The minister praised Nimmakayala China Rajappa for making Peddapuram constituency an “ideal” one. “To develop R&B infra in the state, tenders have been called for Rs 800 crore, out of which NABARD sanctioned Rs 400 crore.Satya Prasad said the government is giving incentives in capital funds, power bills etc for industrial units to promote industrialization of the state. “If the state achieves its 2047 vision, there should be vast progress in the industrial sector. Due to the setting up of MSME parks, more employment opportunities would be generated and also the state’s financial condition would improve.”He said when the chief minister presented a vision of having a software engineer in every house, many politicians mocked him. Now, a whole lot of such engineers have sprung up across AP and beyond. Similarly, very many entrepreneurs would be created through the Vision2047.MLC Karri Padmasri, KUDA chairman Tummala Rama Swamy, joint collector Rahul Meena and others were present.
