Hyderabad: Goshamahal BJP MLA T Raja Singh here on Saturday urged the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to take proactive measures by identifying, verifying, and initiating the deportation process of all illegal migrants residing in the State. In a letter to the Chief Minister, he requested to constitute a special task force with immediate effect to carry out the exercise diligently in coordination with Central agencies. The nation is once again facing a serious threat to its internal security following the Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam on April 22. In response, the Central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched strong retaliatory actions by targeting terrorist camps across the border. “While our brave armed forces are dealing with external threats and safeguarding borders, it is imperative for the State government to ensure that internal security is not compromised,” he said. The presence of illegal migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Rohingya communities poses a grave risk to the integrity, law and order, and demographic stability of our country. These individuals, who were staying illegally in various parts of the country, including Telangana, may be exploited by anti-national elements and thus become a security liability, Raja Singh explained. “Under these circumstances, I earnestly urge the Telangana government to take proactive measures by identifying, verifying, and initiating the deportation process of all such illegal migrants residing in the State,” he said. A special task force should be constituted with immediate effect to carry out this exercise diligently in coordination with central agencies. “The safety of our citizens and the sovereignty of our country must remain our top priority. Swift and decisive action at the State level will complement the efforts of our national security forces and help in maintaining peace and stability within the nation,” he added.
