Visakhapatnam: Forest products processing units are coming up in an extent of five acres in Araku Valley. These units, spread over in 40 plots, will process, pack brand and market Araku branded coffee, pepper, millets, turmeric and other forest products in the country and abroad.Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu virtually set the foundation for the Araku project along with MSME Park Narampet in Atmakur mandal of Nellore district on Thursday. “We will provide a built up area with basic infrastructure like water, power connection and drainage system. It will be like a plug and play system,’’ said Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) district collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar. He said another complex, bigger than the Araku Valley factory complex, has been identified in Golugonda mandal of Anakapalli. The plotted complex would come up in 250 acres. An amount of Rs 500 crore would be spent on the infrastructure in these two complexes, the collector said.
