Anantapur: At least 500 persons with a history of trouble mangers, bomb makers, rowdy sheeters and others were bound over in Pulivendula and Vontimitta mandals in Kadapa district ahead of ZPTC polls on August 12.Kadapa SP Vidyasagar Naidu said that additional forces have been deputed at all sensitive villages in both mandals. About 6 check posts were set in Pulivendula mandal, while 3 more were set in mandal borders. Police instructed that as the election campaign was closed on the evening, non-locals, including leaders and party activists from other parts, should leave Pulivendula and Vontimitta. Police teams were conducting searches in the lodges. As both YSRC and TD took the Pulivendula ZPTC bypoll, which is prestigious following the home turf of YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, TD targeted to prove its existence in the present bypolls.
