Bhopal: Four folk singers were on Saturday killed and seven others injured when a bus in which they were travelling had a head-on-collision with a truck on the National Highway- 27 near Surwaya in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district, police said.The ill-fated bus, carrying 20 folk singers, was going to Gujarat from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh when the mishap took place, according to Shivpuri district superintendent of police Aman Singh Rathore.The passengers were returning to their native places in Gujarat after giving ‘Shiv Katha’ performance in the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi, police said.The leader of team Lonkesh Babu had taken a flight to go to Gujarat on Friday, police said.The driver of the bus may have caught a wink and lost control of the vehicle, leading to the tragedy, police said.The bus first hit the road divider and then rammed into the truck coming from the opposite side, police said.The four deceased have been identified as Hardik Dave (40), Raj Thakur (28), Ankit Thakur (17), and Rajpal Solanki (60), according to the police.
