3 Burglars Held, Gold Worth Rs 12 Lakh, Cash Seized

Karimnagar: Police officials arrested three members of a burglar gang involved in several theft cases across multiple districts and seized 12 tolas of gold ornaments worth Rs 12 lakh, a car, three mobile phones, and Rs 15,000 in cash from their possession in Jagtial Rural mandal of Jagtial district on Saturday.Disclosing details to the media, deputy superintendent of police D. Raghu Chander said the arrested accused were identified as Vanam Papaiah (25), a resident of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, and V. Ramu (28) and D. Ravi (37), both residents of Jagtial district. Another accused, Jagannatham Krishna (45), a resident of Hyderabad, is absconding, and police have launched a manhunt to nab him. The gang was reportedly involved in around 30 cases of robbery and theft in and around Jagtial, Raikal, Malyala, Bhupalpally, and Bhadrachalam. Acting on a tip-off from rural circle inspector Sudhakar and Raikal SI Sudheer Rao, the police team detained the three accused in a mango orchard near Lalitha Temple on the outskirts of Raikal. DSP Raghu Chander appreciated the police team for their efforts and presented cash rewards to staff members Gangadhar and Suman for their role in busting the gang.
