
Nellore: Healthcare infrastructure in Sarvepalli constituency has received a major boost with the sanction of ₹13.78 crore for the construction of 39 health facilities, approved on November 27.The projects include 35 Village Health Clinics (VHCs), three Block Public Health Units (BPHUs) and one Primary Health Centre (PHC). Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy thanked State Medical and Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav for approving the funds to strengthen rural healthcare. A PHC will be built at Tallapudi in Muthukur mandal at a cost of ₹1.43 crore, while BPHUs will come up at Tallapudi, Muthukur and Varigonda with an allocation of ₹1.50 crore. In Manubolu mandal, ₹2.52 crore has been sanctioned for VHCs in eight villages, while Muthukur mandal will get clinics in eight locations at a cost of ₹2.53 crore. Podalakur mandal will receive ₹1.98 crore for clinics in seven villages, and Thotapalli Gudur mandal ₹2.75 crore for eight clinics. An additional ₹1 crore has been allotted for clinics in Venkatachalam mandal. The new facilities are expected to significantly improve access to primary healthcare across the constituency.
